Colds and Flu

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried elderberries

  • 4 cups water

  • 1 knob fresh ginger (1/3 tablespoon powder)

  • 2 cinnamon sticks (1/3 tablespoon powder)

  • 5-6 anise

  • 1 tablespoon cloves

Instructions

​

  • Simmer all ingredients on low heat for 30 minutes until the liquid reduces by half

  • Mash the elderberries

  • Strain the mixture

  • Pour 1 cup into a jar

  • Add 1/2 cup raw honey

  • Pour the remainder into ice trays and freeze

​

Dosage

​

  • Adults: 1 tablespoon every hour

  • Kids: 1 tablespoon every 2 hours
